After four years of no increases, GWIC has announced changes to some fees and the introduction of new fees for some services.
From 1 July 2023 some registration and transaction fees charged by the Commission will change.
While fees will be introduced for new applications for registration as a Greyhound Owner or Breeder, registration renewals for Owners and Breeders will continue to be free and renewal fees will no longer be charged for Race Officials.
In addition and ahead of the upcoming switchover date for the new eTrac portal, online ownership transfers will also remain fee-free. Participants are encouraged to register early for eTrac via the GWIC website ahead of 1 November 2023 to avoid any disruption to services.
“The Commission constantly strives to minimise costs, especially for participants. While we have not increased our fees for four years, naturally we have continued to experience cost increases, and sadly now we are forced to pass these cost increases on,” said Mr Alby Taylor, Chief Commissioner, GWIC.
“While there have been some increases and some new fees, the Commission recognises the challenges faced by many of the industry’s participants at the present time. That is why the Commission has elected to continue to offer fee-free options and significant discounts where possible.”
As in previous years, significant discounts will continue to be offered when an applicant registers or renews for three years.
Small fee increases will apply to new applications and renewals of the following registration types:
Fees will now be charged for registering a breeding female or changing the name of a greyhound.
