“Make no mistake, Friday night racing is fantastic. It is a win for punters and a win for the industry,” said Daniel Weizman, Interim CEO of the Greyhound Breeders Owners & Trainers Association.
The relocation of Wentworth Park’s racing schedule to Friday nights provides a new level of certainty for all members of the greyhound racing community. This change ensures that enthusiasts, both in the industry and among the betting public, can enjoy high-quality racing in a consistent and convenient manner.
“The move to Friday night racing now provides certainty to the industry,” Mr. Weizman said.
Moreover, this transition is a testament to the collaborative efforts of the NSW Greyhound Breeders Owners, and Trainers Association and Greyhound Racing NSW. Together, they aim to uphold the highest standards of animal welfare and foster the economic sustainability of the greyhound racing industry.

“But put simply, Friday night racing is also a great way to cap off a week of work; there is no better way to bring a week to an end than a relaxing night unwinding with a drink and a bet on a few races on a Friday night!” Mr. Weizman added.
As Wentworth Park embarks on this exciting journey, both racing enthusiasts and the wider community can look forward to an electrifying Friday night experience at the track, where the excitement of greyhound racing combines seamlessly with the thrill of the weekend ahead.
