The Jack Smith-trained chaser positioned himself beautifully in the early stages over the 720m journey and sped past his rivals heading towards the home turn to two lengths over a brave, Canya Amy for David Smith, with Queensland star, Valpolicella a further length and a half away in third. The son of Feral Franky and Maximum Dos clocked a slick time of 42.06 and cracked the $900,000 prizemoney total, thanks to the $75,000 first prize on offer.
